Well this month has been extremely hard for me anticipating my mother’s birthday. My plan was to deliver Chemo Care Bags to Children’s Mercy today but due to an extremely depressing month I had no motivation to get out of the bed or pick up anything to crochet or knit it. I finally started on a blanket about a week ago and got it almost completed, still have to finish the border. I’m not giving up on the delivery though it will just have to be later on in August or September for this year.
This is the second birthday without my mother and it seems so fresh, I’m constantly thinking of her and how cancer totally devastated her body, but I try to hold on to the fact that it didn’t affect her spirit. She never once complained and continued to smile through all the procedures and pain.
On a positive note I found another company that gives away Chemo Care Bags and I reached out to them to see if there was anything I could do to help with their charity and they stated they needed hats and guess what I have plenty of those made up already so I will be making a donation on my mother birthday. It really lifted me up because I felt like I failed in a way, but we plan and God plans and God is the best of planners.
